Key Features
What is Black Spot / Lichen?
Lichen is a symbiont - a combination of algae, bacteria and fungus living and benefitting off each other harmoniously. The fungus anchors itself to the surface, with the algae and bacteria living off and feeding the fungus. The way the fungus element roots itself in to the substrate, such as paving, makes it almost impossible to shift even with scrubbing.
How does Black Spot Remover work?
In short, Black Spot Remover kills the organisms helping them to 'lose grip' of the surface which become much easier to remove with a power washer than without treatment.
Coverage
3 litres covers up to 15M2.
5 litres covers up to 25M2.
Coverage can vary dependant on the porosity and texture of the surface, level of contamination and the application method used.
How To Apply
1. Remove loose dirt and debris from the area prior to applying.
2. Lightly dampen the surface (not wet)
3. Shake well before use.
4. Apply the product using a roller or brush - saturating the surface generously and evenly.
For light contamination; apply at a rate of 5M2 per litre
For heavy contamination; apply at a rate of 3M2 per litre
5. Leave for 2 to 8 hours depending on level of contamination. Extreme contamination may be left for 24 hours.
6.Test a small section to determine if efficacy achieved.
7. Once satisfied, use a pressure washer to rinse and clean the area
